Q: What are the Ethan Awards™? 
A: The Ethan Awards are the first international, all-encompassing entrepreneurial author awards in the United States. A global search for authors doing extraordinary things in the marketplace. The mission of the Ethan Awards is to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments, and positive contributions of entrepreneurial authors worldwide.

A: The Ethan Awards™ were founded in 2006.
Q: What do winners receive? 
A: Winners receive an Ethan Award™, a magnificent trophy designed by the same company that makes the Oscar®, Emmy, Clio and Stevie™ Awards. To learn more about Ethan, click here. Nominees and Finalists receive a certificate of recognition.

Q: What are the benefits of submitting nominations? 
A: The author-relations benefits can be significant. When you submit nominations, you’re telling your authors that you recognize and appreciate their entrepreneurial accomplishments and believe that their achievements are worthy of recognition.
The benefits of becoming a Finalist or winning an Ethan will also be significant. Finalists and winners can expect to receive a tremendous amount of publicity.
Q: What sort of publicity can Ethan Award winners and Finalists expect to receive? 
A: The awards ceremony will be podcast nationwide, so Ethan winners will receive national exposure just from the pod cast. The Awards’ public relations team will also work to generate national, regional, and local exposure for Finalists and Ethan winners.
Q: Who can be nominated? 
A: Any Traditionally or self-published entrepreneurial author with a title that is currently in print and available for sale can be nominated.
Q: Who can submit nominations for consideration? 
A: Any person, group, or company can submit nominations.
Q: When is the entry deadline? 
A: The final entry deadline for the 2010 Entrepreneurial Author Award is August 31.
Q: Are there entry or nomination fees? 
A: Yes, the entry fee or nomination fee is $75 US Dollars.
Q: Where can I see examples of nominations that others have submitted? 
A: 2010 Ethan nominations have been published and are accessible through the listings of nominees and finalists.
Q: Are nomination forms kept confidential? 
A: Yes. The organizers ensure that only authorized judges will review nominations, and that information about nominees is not released to anyone else without prior approval.
Q: Who are the judges? 
A: Preliminary-round judges are qualified entrepreneurial authors from across the United States. Final-round judges will be members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and other invited entrepreneurs.
Q: How can I become a judge? 
A: You can participate in the preliminary round of judging by reviewing the listings of nominees and submitting ratings and comments at your convenience over the Internet.
Q: Will the awards ceremony be broadcast? 
A: Yes, the awards ceremony will be broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. In addition, the ceremony will be videocast on the Internet, and Ethan winners will later be able to link to the video clips of their awards presentations from their own web sites.
Q: When will the awards ceremony take place? 
A: The 2010 awards ceremony will take place on October 28, 2010 in Las Vegas.
Q: What will it cost to attend the awards dinner? 
A: Ticket prices will be announced in mid-summer 2010.
Q: How many Finalists and Ethan winners will there be? 
A: The number of Finalists will be determined by the number and quality of nominations submitted. All nominations that receive a high average score in preliminary-round judging will automatically become Finalists. Final judges will have a lot of leeway in determining how many of the Finalists become Ethan winners.
Q: Will Finalists receive an award? 
A: Yes, all Finalist will receive a Certificate of Finalist Recognition.
Q: Will Ethan winners and Finalists be able to purchase duplicate awards? 
A: Yes. Ethan winners will be able to purchase duplicate trophies and/or Ethan Winner certificates. Finalists will be able to purchase duplicate Certificates of Finalist Recognition. Nominees will be able to purchase duplicate Certificates of Nomination Recognition.
